Mr. Thomas has spent all of his career as an attorney in Hawaii, beginning here in 2000. While his background is in the military, he also works extensively with nonmilitary residents throughout the islands and in both state and federal court and knows how the legal system here works. Mr. Thomas opened his own firm in 2010 to provide family law guidance, as well as military law advocacy and litigation services to the community.

Mr. Thomas is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Creighton University School of Law (Juris Doctorate), and U.S. Air Force Officer Training School (present rank of Captain, USAF Reserve JAG Corps). He is a former clerk to the Honorable Joseph F. Bataillon, U.S. District Court Judge, Omaha, Nebraska (1999). He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, and admitted to the Supreme Court and Federal District Court of Hawaii since 2004; a member in good standing of the Colorado Bar Association and admitted to Supreme Court and federal district courts of Colorado since 1999; admitted to U.S. Court of Military Appeals in 2000. He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association's Family Law Section. An extremely effective and experienced courtroom lawyer, he is also a formally trained mediator, and is a master's degree candidate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution from Creighton University.

Christopher D. Thomas is a former felony-level prosecuting attorney for the U.S. Air Force's active-duty Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps and Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) for the U.S. Attorney in the District of Hawaii. He is qualified and certified as a USAF JAG Defense Attorney (2001-2004 Active Duty and Still Certified). Mr. Thomas has also provided legal defense services to members of the Pacific Armed Forces in Hawaii, Guam, Japan and Korea.
